Mr. Wenaas' Home Page

I teach Science 10, Physics 20, and Physics 30 at George McDougall High School.

My name is Dwayne Wenaas, I am currently the Science Learning Lead at GMHS.  I am originally from the thriving metropolis of Drayton Valley, Alberta and even taught there for a bit after University before coming here.

Over my time at GMHS, I have led and taken part in Physics Communities of Practice, helped develop the current provincial Physics Program of Studies, consulted on the development of the textbook, and presented at the ATA Science Conference.  I love teaching Physics, because it makes sense in the real world.  It is a course that makes you think, apply your knowledge, and gain an appreciation for how things work around you.  In the process of learning, you might even have some fun!

I am proud to say all 4 of my kids are/were Mustangs; and welcome you to the herd!
