Outdoor Education

The Outdoor Education program is a CTS student-centered program designed to enhance the skills, self-confidence, and self-discipline of participants. The O.E. course is an adventure in excellence where individuals can challenge themselves mentally, physically, socially, emotionally, and culturally. The students will learn to utilize the outdoors as a classroom and incorporate many skills to live an active and healthy lifestyle. Students will learn how to orienteer, construct winter shelters.  Students will practice skills to develop avalanche awareness, environmental issues, and knot tying. The OE 25/35 course will be doing their standard first aid and CPR with AED, level C certification. This is one of the modules and can be used for many jobs later in life. Students will also have the option of selecting off campus field trips (additional fees on a per trip basis). Some of the possible off campus trips include snowboarding, rock climbing, kayaking, paint ball, sailing, and SCUBA.
